Notes:
Taped by VaheVahe. First performance of the acoustic "Jocko Homo" and "Praying Hands" since the Sundance show in 1996. Gordon Peeke plays drums on this short-notice show. For clarification, Larry Dominello is a colleague of all at Mutato, and after he had brain surgery in early 2002, his finances needed a bit of easing, and DEVO was there to help by playing this very relaxed mini-gig.
It's also worth noting that there was a guy with a video camera at this gig. If you are this guy, or know this guy, or have the tape in the camera, please contact us!
Review:
This performance is obviously something special. DEVO often tagged the "EZ listening" recordings they did as "DEVO in a rare relaxed state." This is a true relaxed DEVO performance and Mark's affected vocals for "Jocko Homo" are hilarious. I just wish it was a bit longer.
